The President, Procurement is accountable for the full P&L performance of the procurement business, overseeing three Vice Presidents responsible for distinct client segments. This role drives enterprise-wide financial outcomes, aligns delivery and commercial strategy, and ensures consistent, high-quality execution across all client segments.
The President translates company and investor strategy into operational and financial results, ensuring the business achieves its growth, profitability, and client retention objectives. This role serves as the senior leader of the procurement function and a key member of the executive leadership team.
This role reports to the COO. There are three Vice Presidents, Procurement, who maintain responsibility for their designated segment of the population of Environ energy advisory client and prospects. The VP’s report to the President.
Education and Experience Requirements
Experience
- 12–15+ years of relevant experience in energy procurement, advisory, or related field
- Proven experience owning or directly managing a P&L
- Experience leading multi-layered teams (leaders of leaders)
- Strong preference for experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments

Key Responsibilities:
Full P&L Ownership
- Own revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and overall financial performance of the procurement business
- Develop and deliver annual operating plans and long-term value creation targets
- Drive pricing strategy, cost structure optimization, and resource allocation
- Establish financial rigor across forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
Leadership of Vice Presidents
- Lead and manage three VPs overseeing distinct client segments, creating enterprise integration
- Ensure consistency in client experience, delivery quality, and operational standards across segments
- Eliminate silos by driving cross-segment collaboration and shared best practices
- Set clear performance expectations and hold VPs accountable to financial and operational targets
Commercial & Growth Leadership
- Partner with Revenue Team leadership to drive revenue growth and client retention
- Maintain visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and cross-sell execution, ensuring the operational foundation (product-market fit, value proposition, and delivery capabilities) enables sales success, without direct ownership of sales performance
- Identify new service offerings, pricing models, and market opportunities
- Align delivery capabilities with evolving client and market demands
Operational Excellence & Scalability
- Standardize and scale delivery models across the energy procurement segment
- Drive efficiency in resourcing, utilization, and project economics
- Implement consistent KPIs, dashboards, and reporting across VPs
- Lead investments in tools, systems, and process improvements to enhance scalability
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans across all procurement segments
- Prioritize initiatives that maximize enterprise value (growth, margin, scalability)
- Monitor performance and adjust strategy based on market dynamics and results
- Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and day-to-day execution
M&A Integration & Value Creation
- Lead integration of acquired procurement businesses into a unified operating model
- Ensure realization of revenue synergies, cost efficiencies, and capability expansion
- Drive consistency in processes, tools, and client delivery approaches
Client Experience & Retention
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience across the full product line
- Monitor client satisfaction, retention, and account growth metrics
- Step in on key strategic accounts or escalations as needed
Executive & Board Engagement
- Report on performance, risks, and opportunities to C-Suite and private equity stakeholders
