Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Copywriter with hands-on AI experience to own and scale product content creation across our catalog. This role will focus on writing and optimizing non-featured product listings while leveraging AI tools, keyword research platforms, and emerging agentic frameworks to ensure our content is structured, discoverable, and conversion-focused.

As we evolve our product data infrastructure including a potential transition from Rithum to a new platform this role will play a critical part in ensuring product copy is not only customer-facing but also machine-readable and optimized for AI agents and marketplace algorithms.

This position sits at the intersection of content, SEO, and automation, requiring both creative writing skills and technical fluency in AI-assisted workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize product copy for non-featured items across ecommerce channels (Amazon, Shopify, marketplaces)

  • Conduct keyword research and integrate high-value search terms into listings using SEO and AI tools

  • Leverage AI platforms (e.g., LLMs, content generation tools) to scale copy production while maintaining quality and brand voice

  • Structure product content to be “agent-ready,” ensuring compatibility with AI-driven discovery and indexing systems

  • Continuously refresh and update product listings to improve performance, incorporating emerging best practices (e.g., periodic copy updates aligned with marketplace algorithms)

  • Collaborate with marketing, ecommerce, and data teams to align copy with campaign strategy and product positioning

  • Support potential platform transitions by adapting copy formats, attributes, and taxonomy requirements

  • Maintain consistency in tone, formatting, and metadata across large product catalogs

  • Analyze performance data (CTR, conversion rates, keyword rankings) to iterate and improve content

Must-Have Experience

  • Ability to follow our internal Style Guide, as well as apply multiple external Brand Guidelines across various partners and licensors

  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving marketplace trends and algorithm changes

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of product listings efficiently

  • Comfort working within a collaborative environment and the ability to apply feedback effectively

  • High attention to detail, particularly regarding product detail accuracy, grammar, syntax, and overall copy quality

  • 3+ years of product copywriting experience in ecommerce, preferably with Amazon or multi-marketplace exposure

  • Proven experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, or similar) to generate, refine, and scale content

  • Strong understanding of keyword research and SEO principles for product listings

  • Experience optimizing Amazon listings, including titles, bullets, descriptions, and backend keywords

  • Ability to balance automation with human editorial judgment to maintain quality and brand voice

  • Familiarity with structured product data and the importance of clean, consistent inputs for downstream systems

  • Experience working with product information management systems, listing tools, or flat file uploads

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience with Rithum or similar ecommerce syndication/PIM platforms

  • Exposure to “agentic” or AI-readable content structuring (e.g., semantic tagging, schema awareness, or knowledge graph inputs)

  • Familiarity with Amazon’s A10 algorithm and listing optimization strategies tied to ranking performance

  • Experience implementing or testing content refresh cycles (e.g., updating listings every 3–6 months) and measuring impact

  • Knowledge of bulk content generation workflows and prompt engineering best practices

  • Basic data analysis skills (Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools) to evaluate listing performance

  • Experience working with large catalogs (thousands of SKUs) and scaling content operations

  • Understanding of marketplace compliance requirements and content guidelines
