Our client is a U.S.-based fiber internet provider focused on delivering high-speed connectivity to multifamily residential properties through a bulk billing model. The company operates across multiple states and is focused on scalable, high-quality network deployment and operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end deployment of fiber networks across multifamily properties in the United States.

This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from initial survey through to installation, testing, and live activation. The successful candidate will coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

This is a hands-on delivery role with full ownership of project execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Delivery

  • Manage full lifecycle of fiber deployment projects from survey through to live service activation
  • Maintain and drive detailed project plans, timelines, and dependencies
  • Ensure all milestones are met in accordance with agreed schedules

 

Contractor & Supplier Management

  • Coordinate and manage third-party contractors (e.g. survey, installation teams)
  • Manage equipment suppliers and logistics (OLT, ONT, cabinets, materials)
  • Track performance and ensure delivery against scope and timelines

 

Backhaul & Network Coordination

  • Coordinate with carriers and backhaul providers for circuit delivery
  • Ensure readiness of network infrastructure prior to activation
  • Track and resolve dependencies impacting activation timelines

 

Execution Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate project tracking using structured tools (e.g. Smartsheet or equivalent)
  • Provide regular progress updates, highlighting risks and delays
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting delivery

 

Quality & Standards

  • Ensure installations meet defined technical and quality standards
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and final activation of services

 

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Escalate issues where required to ensure timely resolution

 

Key Deliverables

  • Projects delivered on time and within agreed timelines
  • Successful activation of fiber services at each property
  • Clear, accurate, and up-to-date project reporting
  • Effective coordination across all vendors and stakeholders

 

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Experience & Skills

Experience

  • 3–7 years’ experience in project management within telecoms, fiber, or infrastructure deployment
  • Experience working with contractors and managing field operations
  • Exposure to FTTH or similar network deployment environments preferred

 

Technical Understanding

  • Basic understanding of fiber network components (OLT, ONT, backhaul, distribution)
  • Ability to manage dependencies across network build and activation

 

Core Skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Clear and professional communication skills

Preferred Background

  • Experience with fiber network operators or contractors (e.g. FTTH deployments)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments
  • Familiarity with project management tools
