Salary: $1,500 - 2,500 USD/month depending on experience
  
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours within business hours Pacific Time

Our client is a fast-growing digital advertising agency specializing in performance marketing for automotive dealerships and e-commerce brands across the United States. The agency focuses on data-driven strategies that help partners increase leads, sales, and overall digital performance through channels such as Google Ads, Meta, SEO, analytics, and marketing automation. They work in some of the most competitive automotive markets, delivering highly customized strategies rather than one-size-fits-all marketing solutions.

Job Overview:

The Google Ads Specialist will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Google Ads campaigns for automotive dealerships across the United States. This role requires deep expertise in automotive inventory advertising, lead generation strategies, and advanced Google Ads structures including Search campaigns, Performance Max (PMAX), and Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA). The ideal candidate has at least five years of hands-on Google Ads experience in the automotive industry and a strong understanding of dealership KPIs such as cost per lead, conversion rate, and lead quality.

Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Setup

  • Plan, build, and manage high-performing Google Ads campaigns for automotive dealerships

  • Structure accounts using best practices for Search, PMAX, and VLA campaigns

  • Build scalable campaign frameworks designed to maximize lead generation and vehicle sales

  • Develop keyword strategies focused on high-intent automotive searches

  • Implement bidding strategies to maximize lead volume while maintaining efficiency

Inventory & Feed-Based Advertising

  • Manage and optimize vehicle inventory feed campaigns

  • Build and optimize Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA) campaigns

  • Manage inventory-based Performance Max campaigns

  • Optimize campaigns to promote high-priority inventory and in-stock vehicles

  • Monitor feed health and troubleshoot inventory feed issues

Campaign Optimization

  • Continuously optimize campaigns to improve CPL, conversion rates, and lead quality

  • Monitor search terms and implement negative keyword strategies

  • Test bidding strategies including Max Conversions, tCPA, and tROAS

  • Monitor impression share, competitor activity, and market trends

  • Identify scaling opportunities across campaigns and markets

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities

  • Track key metrics such as CPL, conversion rate, CPC, impression share, and lead volume

  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve campaign performance

Collaboration

  • Work closely with account managers and leadership on campaign strategy

  • Coordinate with creative teams on ad copy and assets

  • Participate in internal performance reviews and strategy meetings

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of Google Ads experience

  • 3–5 years working with automotive dealerships

  • Proven track record of generating high-quality leads for dealerships

  • Strong experience with Search campaigns, VLA, PMAX, and automotive inventory campaigns

  • Experience managing large advertising budgets

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret campaign data

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with dealership CRMs such as Tekion, CDK, DealerSocket, or VinSolutions

  • Experience managing inventory feeds and vehicle catalogs

  • Experience with GA4 and conversion tracking

  • Experience optimizing campaigns for VDP views, phone calls, form leads, and store visits

  • Experience working in a digital marketing agency environment
