Position Overview

Index Analytics seeks a Salesforce Release Manager to support Government contracts. In this position, we are highly organized professionals with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple Salesforce releases across environments while ensuring compliance with enterprise CI/CD process and security policies. The candidate must have a fundamental understanding of development process, support client meetings experience driving large-scale development teams product releases and remediation of security findings (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Manage Salesforce code promotion changes across to UAT, SEI UAT and PROD, ensuring adherence to CI/CD and enterprise release management processes.
  • Participate in and support client meetings. Act as the primary point of contact for release schedules, organizing upcoming changes across the org with 4+ separate teams, and ensuring all parties receive timely and accurate updates in a centralized location. 
  • Review and submit formal enterprise release requests, maintain release artifacts. This includes technical design documents, release design documents, Snyk and AppOmni security scans, and opening ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets.
  • Maintain and manage Salesforce release pages in Confluence, including release calendars, readiness status, deployment schedules, checklist, and release notes for cross-team visibility.
  • Manage risk, dependencies & impediments and inter-team dependencies that threaten the ART's progress
  • Work proactively with Copado engineers, managers, architects and team members to address and resolve complex issues
  • Enforce governance and compliance standards, ensure completion of required security scans testing phases, and approvals before production deployment.
  • Monitor Salesforce org health, coordinate sandbox refreshes and/or back-end deployments with the architects and maintain metadata consistency across environments.
  • Track development progress during the sprint, release items, and Jira versions under product team boards; ensure alignment of technical design and release design documentation
  • Focus on standardization for deployments based on product support needs and best practices
  • Provide targeted mentorship to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other ART leaders to help them continually improve release management skills and foster a collaborative environment.


Qualifications
  • US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Three years of professional experience managing production deployments and security reporting
  • A commitment to collaborative leadership, focused on empowering teams, removing barriers to progress, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and presentation capabilities
  • Proven ability to expertly guide teams through planning large releases and decision-making, and problem-solving sessions. Skilled at ensuring meetings are well-structured, productive, and result in actionable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, metadata, sandboxes, and the deployment lifecycle.
  • Capacity to analyze systemic challenges and lead teams toward sustainable, data-driven solutions. Adept at diagnosing root causes and navigating ambiguity with clarity and composure.
  • Experience integrating version control tools, security scanning tools, and IT Service Management platforms (ServiceNow) into release workflows
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, metadata, sandboxes, and the deployment lifecycle.
  • Clear experience coaching individuals and teams to adopt best practices and deliver high performance CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). A certification is desired.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder is desired.
  • Prior experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or other Govt agencies is a plus

The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions. Index complements its base salary offering with a competitive package that includes health and retirement benefits, discretionary bonuses, and reimbursement for professional development opportunities.
