The Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services (DTS), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team as an Applications Development Supervisor. This position will serve as Salesforce Technical Lead.

The Applications Development Supervisor (Salesforce Technical Lead) serves as the Product Manager, Architect, and Technical Lead for enterprise-scale Salesforce applications. This role balances strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions through continued Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.

This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meetings of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Working with customers and IT staff to ensure thorough analysis is performed, a high-quality product is produced, and rework is minimized by following established guidelines and industry best practices.
• Providing leadership, direction to development staff, defining and establishing schedules, setting priorities, providing support and dealing with administrative issues as needed.
• Facilitating daily stand-ups and Sprint Ceremonies as Scrum Master for DTS staff and business partners.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues and serving as on call support as needed.
• Directly contribute to teamwork efforts by performing hands on activities such as gathering and documenting requirements from business partners as needed in AZURE DevOps.
• Preparing and delivering communications/presentations and facilitating work groups or discussions as needed.
• Working with a broad set of technologies such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, SmartComm, Informatica, Microsoft AZURE, SQL Server, Web Inspect, Checkmarx, and Tableau.
• Facilitating Divisional mission, goals, tasks and staffing requirements.
• Developing methods to monitor tasks and staff progress and taking corrective action if necessary.
• Prepares management reports of metrics and results.
• Follows defined and agreed upon Product Management and Agile Methodologies.

• Salesforce, MuleSoft, Microsoft AZURE, SQL Server, monitoring technologies, and RESTful APIs.
• Enterprise grade batch operations.

• Understand and anticipate needs and priorities of both internal and external customers.
• Analyze, evaluate, and draw logical conclusions as they relate to business problems and technical solutions.
• Design effective data processing systems, develop programs, and author design documents.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• SAFe, ITIL, TOGAF Certifications.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years of experience in related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Employee shall obtain and maintain a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card that meets DES requirements for a Level One card pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1969.
• All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
• Successfully pass background and reference checks; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions.
• Travel may be required for State business. Driver’s License Requirements. Employees who drive on state business must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.) AND have an acceptable driving record for the last 39 months including no DUI, suspension or revocations and less than 8 points on your license. If an Out of State Driver License was held within the last 39 months, a copy of your MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) is required prior to driving for State Business. Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period. The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
