SAP SD with Variant Configuration

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant with strong SAP Variant Configuration (VC) and Order BOM expertise to support business processes in a Configure-to-Order (CTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP SD, Variant Configuration, sales order processing, BOM determination, and integration with manufacturing and engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and support SAP SD processes including sales orders, quotations, pricing, delivery, billing, and customer-specific requirements.

Provide strong hands-on expertise in SAP Variant Configuration (VC).

Design and support Order BOM functionality and BOM explosion based on customer-specific configurations.

Support CTO (Configure-to-Order) and ETO (Engineer-to-Order) business processes.

Configure and maintain Characteristics, Classes, Dependencies, Constraints, and Configuration Profiles.

Support configuration-driven material selection and component determination during sales order processing.

Work with Sales Order BOM / Order BOM creation, explosion, and integration with production processes.

Analyze and resolve issues related to VC, BOM determination, material variants, and sales order configuration.

Collaborate with business users, functional teams, engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to gather requirements and develop solutions.

Support integration between SAP SD, MM, PP, and Variant Configuration.

Participate in requirements gathering, functional design, testing, deployment, and production support.

Develop functional specifications and work with ABAP/technical teams for enhancements and custom developments.

Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect resolution, and post-production support.

Identify opportunities to improve and standardize CTO/ETO processes.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in SAP SD.

Extensive experience with SAP Variant Configuration (VC).

Strong understanding of Order BOM / Sales Order BOM.

Hands-on experience with CTO (Configure-to-Order) processes.

Experience working in ETO (Engineer-to-Order) environments.

Strong knowledge of Characteristics, Classes, Dependencies, Constraints, and Configuration Profiles.

Experience with BOM explosion and configuration-driven component selection.

Good understanding of SAP SD integration with MM and PP.

Experience with pricing, sales order processing, delivery, and billing.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
