Introduction

An Analytical Engineer designs, maintains, and optimizes scalable data models to enable data-driven decision-making. Bridging data engineering and analytics, this role transforms raw data into reliable datasets for BI and reporting while enforcing quality standards and automating workflows. You will also provide acting Team Lead cover with a path to progress into a permanent lead role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and optimize scalable data models to support analytics, reporting, and BI solutions.

  • Transform raw data into structured, accurate, and reliable datasets for cross-functional business teams.

  • Develop, automate, and streamline data workflows and pipelines using Python, SQL, and Power Automate.

  • Build and maintain high-performing Power BI dashboards and reporting structures.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards across relational databases and cloud data warehousing environments (MS Azure).

  • Maintain version control, deployment pipelines, and best practices using Git, SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to turn complex data requirements into actionable insights.

  • Act as interim Team Lead, providing guidance, mentorship, and operational support to the team while establishing a path toward a permanent leadership role.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.

  • Core Technical Stack: Advanced SQL (optimization, dynamic queries), Advanced Python, Power Automate, and PowerBI reporting.

  • Infrastructure & Practices: MS Azure, Relational DB design, Data Warehousing, Git workflows, SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD exposure. SAS coding and Data Modelling are a plus.
