Senior Data Engineer (AWS)

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a global pharmaceutical client and help build scalable data infrastructure and modern cloud-based data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure
  
• Build ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing
  
• Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions
  
• Process and analyze large datasets to support business insights
  
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance standards
  
• Optimize data collection, storage, and processing performance
  
• Create dashboards, templates, and visualizations for stakeholders
  
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify data needs
  
• Design and execute experiments to validate data-driven solutions
  

Requirements

• 5+years in data engineering

• Strong experience with:
  • SQL
    
  • Python or Scala
    
  • AWS cloud platform
    
• Experience with big data technologies:
  • Spark
    
  • Kafka
    
  • Hadoop
    
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Data modeling
    
  • ETL/ELT pipeline development
    
  • Data warehousing concepts
    
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Experience working in enterprise-scale environments
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with manufacturing processes
  
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
  
• Experience within pharmaceutical or healthcare environments
