We are looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong Playwright expertise to build and scale automation across modern web applications.
This role is not about writing test cases alone — it’s about engineering quality into the system, working closely with developers, and ensuring reliability across UI and API layers in a fast-moving, microservices-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
- Build robust, scalable, and reusable test scripts for UI and API testing
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to shift-left quality practices
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing
- Work with mocking, stubbing, and test data management
- Analyze failures, debug issues, and ensure high test stability and reliability
- Contribute to test strategy, coverage planning, and release quality metrics
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive automation best practices
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright agent
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience in API testing (REST, tools like Postman / Playwright API)
- Good understanding of automation frameworks and design patterns
- Gain hands-on experience in Playwright advanced automation, including framework development and agent-based execution.
- Develop understanding of MCP servers / modern test infrastructure.
- Build strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD integration
- Familiarity with Git and version control practices
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
