Overview of the role:
you will act as a strategic partner to Product, Design, Engineering, and Business teams, shaping product direction through deep user understanding and advanced research methodologies.In this role, you will lead complex research initiatives, influence product strategy and roadmap decisions, and create frameworks that strengthen user-centric decision making across the organization. You will also contribute to the evolution of research practices, support research operations, and mentor others in research methodologies.
What you’ll do:
- Lead research strategy for key product areas, ensuring product decisions are grounded in real user needs and behaviours.
- Translate strategic questions into clear research plans that influence roadmap and prioritization.
- Identify high-impact opportunity areas and user problems that shape long-term product direction.
- Design and execute advanced research using mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative).
- Plan and conduct end-to-end research activities, including recruitment, moderation, analysis, and synthesis.
- Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to connect behavioral data with qualitative insights.
- Synthesize complex research findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to align cross-functional teams.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and other stakeholders during product discovery.
- Improve research operations, documentation, and insight repositories to scale research impact.
- Mentor designers and researchers in foundational research methods and best practices.
- Champion user-centricity and evidence-based decision making across the organization.
What you’ll bring:
We require a candidate who has achieved or is capable of the following
- Advanced expertise in qualitative research and strong experience with mixed research methods.
- Ability to independently lead end-to-end research projects, from scoping and planning to analysis and insight synthesis.
- Proven experience influencing product strategy, roadmap decisions, and prioritization through research insights.
- Strong analytical capability to connect qualitative findings with quantitative and behavioral data.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights and frameworks (e.g., mental models, opportunity maps, research frameworks).
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Business stakeholders in product discovery environments.
- Strong facilitation skills to lead workshops for problem framing, ideation, prioritization, and synthesis.
- Experience improving research operations, documentation, tools, or scalable research practices.
- Ability to mentor designers or researchers in research methodologies and best practices.
- High autonomy, strategic thinking, and comfort working in complex product ecosystems.
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and user-centered research practices.
- Advanced or Fluent English
