To maintain and further enhance the high quality of our security solutions, we continuously test the functionality and reliability of our products with a strong focus on automated testing. As part of our dedicated and motivated Product Development team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products consistently meet - and exceed - the expectations of both our company and our customers.

Please note that for this position, we can only consider candidates who already have unrestricted authorization to work in Germany. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or support work permits tied to student status.

Your mission

  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain end-to-end and integration tests for our software products, including cross-team workflows
  • Analyze, review, and document test results, and collaborate closely with developers to resolve identified issues before new features and releases are finally tested by our QM-team
  • Identify gaps in existing test coverage and prioritize the development of additional test cases
  • Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure testing aligns with business and product requirements
  • Promote and strengthen a culture of quality awareness within the team

What you offer

  • Degree or completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification, with professional experience in software testing or test automation
  • An unrestricted authorization to work in Germany as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship or support work permits tied to student status for this position at the moment
  • Strong experience with at least one of our preferred automation tools (Playwright or Cypress), with overall 3+ years of experience in test automation
  • Experience with API and Integration testing
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles (e.g. Test design techniques, BDD testing, ISTQB foundation-level knowledge)
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured and independent working style, and a pronounced quality mindset
  • Ability to quickly understand existing testing processes and systematically improve them
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and communicative, with a high level of commitment and ownership
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and complex challenges
  • English at full-business proficiency level in word and written, German would be a plus

Your Application Process at Greenbone

1. Initial meeting with the Talent Acquisition Team (Duration: 30–45 minutes)
2. Interview with the Hiring Manager and Peer (Duration: approx. 60 minutes)
3. Final interview with Department Lead or C-Level (Duration: approx. 60 minutes)

The process may vary slightly depending on the position. For some technical roles, a case study is included between the second and third interview.
