Introduction

An exciting opportunity exists with a prestigious UK-based international law firm for an experienced Senior Corporate Commercial Attorney to join their Office of the General Counsel (OGC) on a 5-month fixed-term contract, commencing 1 June.

This fully remote role is ideally suited to a commercially astute legal professional with extensive commercial contracts experience, strong risk management capability, and the confidence to operate independently within a fast-paced international legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day commercial contracts support within the Office of the General Counsel / Contracts Team.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on:
    • Engagement terms
    • Commercial agreements
    • Subcontractor agreements
    • Secondment agreements
  • Manage and respond to BAU legal and contractual queries received through shared team mailboxes.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate contractual and commercial risks appropriately.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including:
    • Conflicts teams
    • Privacy teams
    • Information Security (InfoSec)
    • Compliance and Risk functions
  • Support UK and international offices with commercial legal matters.
  • Operate autonomously with minimal supervision while managing matters end-to-end.
  • Ensure contractual compliance, consistency, and alignment with firm policies and risk frameworks.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Admitted Attorney.
  • Minimum 5–6 years’ post-qualification experience in corporate commercial law.
  • Strong background in commercial contracts drafting, negotiation, and advisory work.
  • Previous experience within a law firm, in-house legal department, or professional services environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently manage high-volume contract matters.
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound risk judgement.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience working across international jurisdictions advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote and fast-paced environment.
