Your mission

  • Plan, write, review, and maintain technical documentation — user guides, admin references, release notes, API documentation, and how-to content — across our ITSM and endpoint management products.
  • Own content within our documentation architecture, contributing to the ongoing restructuring of docs.matrix42.com and keeping information findable and consistently structured.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and design to understand features early and document them accurately before and at release.
  • Apply AI tooling thoughtfully across the content lifecycle — drafting, editing, summarization, and content quality checks — while maintaining a high editorial standard and factual accuracy.
  • Maintain a consistent voice, terminology, and style across a large content base, including support for our German- and English-speaking audiences.
  • Gather feedback from support, customers, and analytics to continuously improve content quality and coverage.

Your profile

Required

  • Excellent communication and people skills. Forging a strong working relationship with your key SMEs is required.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, especially around AI.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility, ability to deal with shifting priorities, and unexpected deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience writing technical content in a software, SaaS, or IT industry — you can explain complex systems clearly and accurately to a technical audience.
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI tools for content work, and good judgment about where AI accelerates the work versus where human review is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of content management systems and authoring tools.
  • Excellent written English; ability to produce precise, well-organized content under real release timelines.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach to information architecture, terminology, and versioning.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams.
  • Experience in translation management.
  • German language skills (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with ITSM, endpoint/device management, or enterprise IT concepts.
  • Experience or knowledge with work-processes and technologies around technical communication: single sourcing, HTML, CSS, CMS, Markdown, Git, static site generators, APIs, structured authoring tools, docs-as-code, DITA, etc.
  • Awareness of accessibility standards and inclusive content practices.
